As a Web Developer, you get the benefits and stability of a large development community combined with the fast-paced and exciting environment found in small, rapidly growing startups. We believe that our developers deserve the best tools and as such you will work with both Linux and Windows-based development environments, Zend Studio and Zend Server, top of the line laptops, and have multiple 24-inch flat screen monitors. You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, test and deploy your code. You should know how to build a web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code.Experience
- 4 years of web development experience (preferably in PHP) in small to mid-sized companies
- BS/BA/MS in MIS or CS or equivalent experience or training
- Experience with advanced version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Knowledgeable about database schema design, normalization, and optimization
- Exposure and strong understanding of MVC frameworks
- Understanding and experience with Web Services
- Advanced knowledge of Javascript, particularly the jQuery framework
- Strong OOP and software design ability; able to develop systems that meet architectural objectives including reusable, scalable code
- Strong design and coding experience in backend development, web UI development or both
- Evidenced understanding of AJAX concepts
- Highly self-motivated
- Demonstrated creative problem-solver
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Able to prioritize, execute and deliver projects on time
